Dealership is telling me my tpms is malfunctioning cause of my spacers and new tires. Anyone else have issues? I'm running 1.25" spacers and ko2s.

Now they're telling me they have to check with the engineers because they want to check if the after market rock sliders, brush bar, and fog lights might be causing it to go on the fritz. What a joke.

I also have spacers and KO2 tires. Plenty of people have the same setup. The TPMS on the renegade simply transmit the pressure to the computer. No problem. My stock wheels and tires still have the factory sensors (they work fine). I also have after market wheels with universal TPMS in them (also work fine). Plenty of others on this forum have all kinds of crazy mods. They can not cause a TPMS error.

That mechanic is either completely ignorant or blatantly lying to you. If possible, never go to that mechanic again. Also warn everyone you know to avoid that mechanic as well.

Tires may affect the sensors only if the tire installer damaged them on installing the tires. After market fog light may cause an issue if they aren’t shielded properly and cause electrical interference. Other then that they are talking out their ass....

The dealership has bumped their heads. I'm running 1" spacers and Hankook Dynapro ATms in 235/65 r17 no issues. However, I did have an issue when Discount Tire replaced one, evidently they have to be OE or calibrated for Jeep. There's a tester that checks your sensors, they're either transmitting or not and secondly, can the Jeep see them.
