Ok so I purchased a 2016 Renegade 75th Edition with the mysky option. It's the 1.4L with 6spd. I LOVE IT! I got so excited and didn't think of some of the issues I may have in the future! I have had a knee replacement and looking to have another knee surgery in the near future-3months or so! And the wife cannot drive a standard nor has any intentions of doing so and our other vehicle is a 15 pax van! (6 kids) Well I have thought of trading in the Lati for a 2015 TH w/o the mysky. I can deal with that as I gain more off-road capabilities especially here in Albuquerque! I wanted to ask you all if you think I am way off base here or on track. I know I will obvious lose some money! However I am a friend of the GM and get friends/family discount along with military discount and rebates, which according to the website is 2.5k in rebates on the 2015. Was there significant issues with the 2015 models? I know some have issues with the transmissions on the 9speeds.
Love my '15 TrailHawk, no transmission or any other problems to speak of. Averaging about 25mpg too, with roughly 70/30 city to highway......for another few weeks anyway. Having my lift put in towards the end of the month and then looking at wheels & tires.
If you are friends with the GM maybe he'll give you a break on the trade so you don't take as big a hit?
