As I'm sure some of you are planning on actually using your BU, what trail or back road do you plan on doing first?!

If I get one, I think I will try to take it to a place called Flag Pole Knob here in VA. Beautiful views once you get to the top!

Probably an area called Dog Valley or perhaps up a local trail called the Hunter Creek Trail. Neither are difficult, but they have a few different places to get a feel for a vehicle without getting in over your (or the vehicle's) head.

That's a good question. I may have to just take out to Prison Hill to take a few poser shots and see just how much or little flex it really has :D

BU is the model/version designation for the present Renegade. CJ, YJ, TJ and JK are all designations for different generations of what is now the Wrangler. There are other designations for Cherokee's, Comanche's etc.

Posting here for all's reference cause interesting to me. It's a list of all the 2 digit model designations.

    https://www.quadratec.com/jeep_knowledgebase/article-73.htm

It's a bit out of date, but for older stuff it's cool. Idk too much but I think newer Grand Cherokee is WK2. Cherokee is KL. Idk compass or patriot though

Would that make the 2017 compass a MK2? In multiple ways?

Taking our Trailhawk on her first off-road trip next week up and around Montrose, CO. Our first stop is an area called Gunnison Gorge, on a trail called Wave Road (seems appropriate for a Jeep). Starting with some milder trails so we can get the hang of it. Bought her in January and we're very excited that it's finally getting warm enough to really let her loose!
