Rocky Road sliders on

After some time and 3 carbide bits later... got it done

 

Looks great! How long is "some time?"

 

Driver side took most the time, burnt up the first drill bit on the first hole, couple hours. Every hole seemed to be one the weld. The other side in about 40 minutes. New bit, the holes went easy.

 

Those don't look like stock tires but those are stock rims, give me more info.

 

I put Renegade Ready 1"spacers, BFG TKO2S, 225/65R65s and a Daystar lift. I left the stock rims, not a big fan of what's out there and rather put the money elsewhere. I got a viair 300 compressor so I can air up after trips. Still might add a bull bar, a couple lights a a skid plate up front.

Did you find that you needed the spacers? Or was it just to get the wider track? Also - any pics from the full side of the Jeep?

 

Thanks, compressor works great, brings tire up from 20lbs in no time. Plenty of hose to reach the tires .

 

It was just for the wider stance, didn't need it with the tires I got.

 

I also added the very stylish Toaster Jeep sticker on the back

 

Can you show some pics of the underside of the sliders? I'm looking at getting sliders and I don't know if the cost difference is warranted for the Daystar.
I like how the Daystar covers the pinch seam and wraps all the way outside.

 

I'd go take some pics for you, but I traded it in. It goes right up to the pinch seam. I scuffed them up pretty good and they held up well. Right now it's out on the front row at Sullivan Motor Company looking for a buyer... For what I've been doing the Rubicon I got does so well, it's lacks the feeling of accomplishment. Still stock, adding sliders this week.
